Meet The Arts Trio
I'm an amateur artist who enjoys doing a variety of types of art including photography, oil, pastel, acrylic, charcoal, and computer arts.
Since I retired from full time ministry I have been able to audit classes at the University of Memphis including Photography, Introduction to computer arts, Drawing, and most recently Computer Art.
This has allowed me to improve my artistic and computer skills. It has been a wonderful way to enjoy the leisure that retirement brings.
I have always enjoyed drawing and sketching, so a few years ago when I retired from a business career, I decided the best way to build on that love of art was to focus on making art, especially painting. What a great decision that was. Through small classes and workshops I have learned techniques and love creating art with watercolors, acrylics, and, most recently, oils. Seeing the world as an artist and the experience of painting are sources of joy in my life.
I am a former teacher in elementary Education and Special Education who always enjoyed incorporating art with my classroom lessons. After retirement I took several workshops in watercolor and really enjoyed it. I discovered that Fred Rawlinson had a studio and offered lessons in watercolor and I immediately signed up. I also took lessons in pastel with Chantel Barber, and oil from Judy Nocifora. My other interests are collage, acrylics, and alcohol ink. Fortunately I like anything to do with art.
Our Website is a work in progress. We would appreciate any feedback anyone is willing to offer or suggestions that might be helpful as we continue our development.
If you are interested in adding your own artwork to our site we would like to hear from you.
If you would like to purchase artwork just leave your contact information at the bottom, and a message about the piece you're interested in, and we'll get back in touch with you.
Some of our future plans include adding short tutorials about how to do alcohol inks and other areas of art. If there are additional tutorial topics you're interested in please let us know that as well.
